Swing dancing at KSU

Hey, y'all! At the 1940s Jump, Jive, and Wail Dance last weekend, they had a photographer on hand who snapped pictures and then sent them out (for free) via e-mail. How cool is that? There was also a live orchestra and free dance lessons. Next year, if we attend, we might find some 1940s clothing/hairstyles and get in the spirit like everyone else. We had a fun time even without the costumes. Hope everyone has a great week!

You both look like you are having fun. Most people don't get a chance to jump and jive to a live orchestra. Grandma Fiddler used to go hear live bands play and dance. Thanks for sharing more pictures with us. The Jump, Jive and Wail Dance was a cool event. I am curious, what songs did the orchestra play?

Katie you and Trent have your folks' spirit of getting out there and trying new things; just having some plain ole fun. Good for you. Keep us up to date on the "Georgia Adventures of Katie and Trent". I have to admit I wouldn't have the gumption to do all the fun things you and Trent and you alone do. And of course John being pretty much a fuddy duddy, it is a given he wouldn't do it, although he will tell you he would(ha). Thanks for always sharing.

Hi, y'all. Thanks for your comments. :) I wish you could have joined us for the dancing.

Trent's so funny -- he has rhythm and moves when it comes to free style dance. Me, not so much. But when it comes to dances with steps that you have to learn, I'm golden. He gets a little tense though.

Honor, I'm not sure what songs the orchestra played ... but they were good. For awhile, a soloist sang along with the musicians; she was fabulous!

I can't wait to see all of you in a few weeks!! Love you!
