Spring photos

What a fabulous Easter weekend! I'm so glad I got to chat, laugh, and play with my wonderful family last Saturday!

I particularly enjoyed gathering eggs, blowing bubbles, and playing catch with Jacob and Isaiah. The Easter Bunny's handwritten messages for egg finders were the highlight of the egg hunt. The Easter Bunny says, "Do a dance. Dance, I say, dance! Dance like you've never danced before."

My cousins' families are growing and making all of us feel young and playful. I can't remember the last time I hunted for Easter eggs. Thanks to Jacob and Isaiah for allowing me to join in the fun. (I didn't include photos of Isaiah on the blog or Facebook out of respect for the Kepkas' wishes that they not be shared in that way, but I did send out a link on Kodak Share that includes more cute photos of him. Thomas, let me know if you want the link.)

And here are a couple of photos from our day trip in central Kansas in March, along the Scenic Prairie View byway. We dined in Lindsborg and took in the view from Coronado Heights before visiting Kanapolis Lake, where the water was mighty choppy on a windy Kansas afternoon.

We are a fortunate family. We had a lovely, carefree Easter. The children had a fun filled day. The food was food for the gods. The family worked hard to make the day wonderful. And it was. Thanks, Katie, for sharing pictures of Easter, 2011.

I hope you and Trent enjoyed your day trip to Lindsborg. It has been awhile since I have been there. I love that little town. I don't know if traditional Swedish food is still available there. Years ago, your Madre and I met in Lindsborg to explore the town. I drove there from Ellsworth and your mom drove from Emporia. We had a wonderful time. I think we ate at The Swedish Crown, which served Swedish food. That restaurant is no longer in business. We strolled through the town and browsed in all the specialty shops and galleries. There is a lot of good art in Linsborg. Anyway that day spent with my sister was a special one.

I used to love to go to Kanopolis Lake. Then one spring the area was flooded. Ever since the water has been too muddy for my taste. The scenery is beautiful though. There are a lot of mature trees in the area which adds to the beauty.

Thanks for posting on the blog. And thanks for all the time you spent entertaining the children. You helped create memories for them which will last forever.

So go ahead, Fiddler Kin. Dance!!!!
Happy Spring!!!!!
