Hi, all. We significantly reduced our list price on the house last week in the hopes of generating some interest (and staying competitive with other houses that keep dropping their prices). I think we're as low as we can go now. Say some prayers that we'll get some buyers in the door. So far, so slow.
My official move date: July 28 (our ten-year anniversary). I'm looking forward to building our lives back in Kansas, and I'm also hoping we can eventually make a clean break from Georgia by selling our home.
On a higher note (pun intended) ... I sang a duet in church today. I've never done a solo before, and I'd never done a duet before today. I and another woman from the choir sang "In Flanders Fields." And I didn't screw it up! She sang the soprano part, and I sang alto, and I think we did the song justice.

Congratulations on your duet, Katie. No doubt about it. You are a multi-talented woman.
We will pray that your house sells for a competitive price. These things have a way of working out when the timing is most beneficial. I hope the stress doesn't get to you. We look forward to having you and Trent in Kansas. Your Fiddler kin will have to plan more parties so you can enjoy down home cooking as well as some ethnic variety.
Thanks for your encouraging words, Honor. Yes, when ever we start feeling frustrated about the housing market and the fact that every one around appears to be dropping their prices (we're as low as we can go now), we just try to think about the fun times we can look forward to with our families ... and the quality of life in a smaller city.
Today, I found out that another member of the choir wants to do a duet with me in two weeks ... my last church service here in Kennesaw. I will definitely miss singing with this choir. They are a lot of fun, and our choir director is a true teacher.
