Dear Family,
Marshall and I had an adventure Saturday....hazardous, icey roads made the drive to Wichita interesting. Cars skidded off the roadway leaving drivers calling towing services on their cell phones.....we actually witnessed a car sail off the road in our rear view mirrors! It was a day for cautious driving and prayer!
The trip was worth it...on Sunday we met Katie at the Wichita airport and began a little tour of the city. Lunch at Panera's and great conversation ....especially the conversation added to fun. It is a pleasure to spend time with a rational, upbeat adult....knowing that she is our daughter increases the pleasure one hundred fold!!
We hope her trip and interviews were fruitful.....she and Trent are our choice for newest Kansas citizens!

I had a fabulous time with you, two, and I'm glad you made it to W-town safely!! Thanks for taking me on a lovely tour of Wichita, including the delightful town of Kechi ("catchy"). Perhaps you'll be visiting there more often in the coming years ...
