like a deer in the head lights

A 700 BILLION DOLLAR BAIL OUT, what does that mean? Great for the one being bailed out but, who is that? The economy is being picked down to it's bones and were sucking on those. We've become sitting ducks. What direction do you fly in to get out of the way. Is there any wisdom left in the goverment to meet the needs our country. It's like waiting for a battle to begin. You hope you have the right stratage because the enemy is about to strike and you can't see where he is coming from. Is he strong or weak can his weapons defeat us. The unknown is fearfull.

BRAVO! You hit the nail on the head. The CEO's and politicians are imbedded. The taxpayers have no one to champion their cause. Those talking about change did not see this assault coming. They only had a glimpse of the inevitible. The public is vulnerable indeed. Hang onto your hat and put your hand over your wallet. Like Dad said, "It's a tough life, don't weaken."

I was listening to NPR yesterday and they were talking about the bail out and how it could effect Kansas city, anyway this one woman called in and said she was 26 years old and just wanted to thank the generation before her for really screwing this up. She went on to say if we(the older generation)hadn't been so worried about getting the latest coach purse and boob and facelift then we wouldn't be in this mess. Really it is about greed, always wanting more, more, more and bigger, bigger, bigger. Warren Buffet was able to put up several million dollars to bail out Goldman Sachs, not because he was being kind and wanted to help, but because and the end of the day, or month or year, well maybe many years he expects to make a profit. The rest of us can lose our houses because we can't make the payments but he can go out on a limb billions and expect to land on his feet. I wonder what that must be like. T. Boone Pickens says he was unable to help, because he lost almost a billion dollars in the meltdown thus far. Violins anyone? My friends who are very wealthy believe that if you want to know who is responsible for your problems then you should look in the mirror and you will see your answer. It must be nice to live in a $500,000.00 plus house on a golfcourse, drive 2 $50,000.00 cars and travel all over several times a year and not have to worry about how you are going to pay your bills from one day to the next, because if you can't pay your bills then it is your own fault. You didn't work hard enough or plan enough or just plain weren't smart enough. My friends by the way are not democrats and were big George W supporters, but we have been friends a long time so weoverlook each others beliefs or shortcomings.
