well it's getting closer to fall. I have actually seen Halloween stuff out already. There's a big holiday. The other day I was driving down 6th and I was behind a semi that stunk like heck.
But it also smelled good some how. It reminded me of the chicken coup we used to have.
That's the way the barn always smelled. Chickens cows whats the difference poop is poop. It brought back that memory so clear and I missed it.

Your comments remind me of how S.G. loved the baby chicks. She gave each one a name. Somehow she could tell all the yellow fluffy birds apart. She was an animal lover from the start.
When I smell fresh fruit it reminds me of Dad's store. The smell of scones baking reminds me of Mother. Smell is a powerful memory jogger. When I walk into an empty grade school lunchroom the odor of baloney and peanut butter sandwiches comes wafting back.
I agree that smell is a powerful link to our memories. The smell of Oil of Olay face lotion reminds me of my mom.
Carol, I love the smell of IBP (now, Tyson's Chicken, I think). It reminds me of home.
