Last Lecture

I saw on the news that Dr. Randy Pausch died this morning of cancer. He wrote the book the Last Lecture. Question folks, why is it that our lessons for living usually come from someone who is dying? Maybe knowing that your end is more defined and not some vague dot on a time line is liberating.

I think for some people a more defined timeline is liberating. Some people can be very objective about what they have learned in their earthly classroom and they can "pay it forward." I think those people have a sense of gratitude that inspires them to offer words of wisdom and comfort to survivors. They are the cream of the crop and at the top of their class. Good question Fiddler. It makes us reflect on what is important.
