Hey, Fiddler Family (and their Relations)! Are you ready to reconnect? Let's use this blog to share and respond to the stories of our daily lives--from the monumental events to the everyday humdrums. Write about the books you're reading, the movies you're watching, the politics that piss you off. Let's share our frustrations and hurts, along with our successes and joys. Poetry, prose, lists, prayers, images--anything goes on this blog. It's time to reconnect.

I have no memory of a taco stand near-by either. We need to define "near-by." Maybe Katie and Beth did not mind walking a mile to get something to eat. They were both healthy girls. I think it made Mom happy to have Katie and Beth stay with Grandma and Grandpa. She loved being a Grandma and was generous to her grandchildren. Beth only did that one or two times because there was too much tension in the house.
It wasn't a taco stand, it was a Taco Bueno or something similar. Granmpa has so many different stores while I was growing up I could tell you which one it was. I know it was acutally in the city. All I remember was being at the store & the taco Resturant. Maybe Katie can contribute more of her memories.
beth i'v been thinking about the taco stand and i remember dad had a store tha looked mexican or something. It was after he sold the first store. there was a row of stores together. If you went across the street going east there was like a mini mall type thing. there was a big grocery store a hallmark a bookstore cottoneyed joes a teachers store. you guys had to have been pretty young. are sure someone wasn't with you? probably grandma would have been with you.
Hi, people. :) My memories of the tank-swimming, taco-eating afternoon are pretty fuzzy. I do, however, think that Beth and I went on our own to the taco joint, and we felt very grown up in our independence. Knowing us, we were probably wearing matching swimsuits, outfits, and sandals for this little excursion because Grandma was always very generous when we went shopping with her. :)
Hi,
I don't remember Katie getting to stay over with the grandparents...due to dad's little drinking problem. Did that actually happen?
