Hey, Fiddler Family (and their Relations)! Are you ready to reconnect? Let's use this blog to share and respond to the stories of our daily lives--from the monumental events to the everyday humdrums. Write about the books you're reading, the movies you're watching, the politics that piss you off. Let's share our frustrations and hurts, along with our successes and joys. Poetry, prose, lists, prayers, images--anything goes on this blog. It's time to reconnect.

I would like to show those fast food empires who they are dealing with. Unfortunately, I already have. Who wants that last piece of Kentucky Fried Chicken? Anybody? Ok then.
Well we have been enjoying some fresh seasonal fare from Fair Share Farm. We have been eating salads at night with homegrown lettuce, spinach, broccoli, strawberries and asparagus, but don't ask us what we ate for lunch. It is hard to eat healthy all the time. Rebecca and Tom have an intern and she eats only raw foods. Rebecca and Tom tried to buy her a chocolate from artisian Christopher Elbow, but she wouldn't indulge becasue heating had been involved. Life to me would be very boring if I ate only raw. No juicy burgers on the grill. No popcorn at the movies and look at all the other eating experiences you would miss, plus I think meal planning would be more complicated. Of course she is probably healthier than most people because her foods still contain the vitamins and nutrients that we need, not to mention enzymes. Well Matty eat the burger, hold the fries and have a bottle of water then go ride your bike, have a salad for dinner, but still enjoy the burger.
You are an entertaining writer....keep up the witty observations....thanks for sharing!

Ha! I love it!
I'm not giving in!!! I almost always take my lunch to work: PB&J, apple, string cheese (for protein), Wheat Thins or Triscuits, V8, and homemade trail mix with nuts, raisins, and M&M's. It's cheap and easy.
Every now and then, though, I spend $5 at the on-campus Krystal. It's like White Castle. Little greasy burgers with onions. Mmmmm. So good. Four mini-burgers with fries and a Dr Pepper. I'm in heaven.
